Who is behind the work?
Terrance owns and runs Level 1 Beauty Lounge, and has built the salon's reputation on telling clients what will suit them before picking up a tool. The salon is unisex, welcomes children, and works with every hair length, color and texture — straight, curly, relaxed, natural or textured. Thirty-five years on Church Avenue means the consultation is as careful as the cut.

How does an appointment work?
Every visit at Level 1 Beauty Lounge follows the same four steps, whether you are in for a men's cut or a full wig installation.
Step 01Call to book
Phone 718-856-7575 or send us a text with the service you want, how long your hair is, and what has already been done to it. That way the appointment is long enough and the right person is free.
Step 02Consultation on arrival
Before anything starts, the stylist looks at your hair or nails, asks what you want the result to be, and tells you honestly what is realistic. Services are recommended around your desired look, hair type and routine, not off a menu.
Step 03The service
The work is carried out by an experienced professional with attention to detail and no rushing. If the plan changes along the way — a color lifting differently, a braid pattern needing more time — you are told before it happens.
Step 04Aftercare and rebooking
You leave with clear advice on how to maintain the result at home, and a note of when to come back. Most clients book the next appointment before walking out, so the slot that suits them is already held.

I have been going to Terry for 10+ years. His ability to look at a picture and cut your hair into the same style is in a class by itself. If you're ever shopping for a beautician that has cut and color skills that surpass most, you should definitely give him a try.

I get a wash and flatiron and Everytime My hair is silky and moisturize especially when using that coconut conditioner... and don’t forget that massage when your washing your hair .. AMAZINGLY RELAXING.
